Did you ever have this question? Should we do Cloaking Affiliate Link? or what happen if we not cloaking that affiliate link? will it harm us?
Lots of rumors said that google “hate” a site that created only for affiliate links. When you get caught, the risk is decreasing rank, decrease SERP, and maybe ban. What a disaster.
Personally, i still not get this answer by my self. I still not have banned site that caused by affiliate links. But i won’t to take any risk. I just want to play save. Long live forever,… lol
Its a great advantages when we use WP ROBOT, because wprobot can “cloaking” your affiliate link automatically. But how about the others? I mean, someone that not using wprobot?.
Until now, i still not find any plugin that can make cloaking affiliate link with robotics way. But if you want to make this “cloaking link” by manual, then you should use GOCODE plugins.
Feature of GoCode plugin :
1. We can specify the URL TRIGGER (ex. go, more, continue, etc)
2. We can make this link as NO-FOLLOW
3. We can track the click number for this link (click count)
4. No limit for links

From what I know as long as you put rel=”nofollow” in your affililate links, it should be ok….I only do cloaking if the affiliate link looks ugly like this sitesmple.com/ref=ursite ..

I hope youre right Marion. Got one of my lenses banned and first thing i thought of was if i should put nofollow. Dont know why else would it completely drop of search results and is not coming back for 2 weeks now after being on first page for months.
