Today WP Robot tips is, how to combine Featured Content Gallery with WP Robot. Using slider image feature with Featured Content Gallery plugin will make your site more beautiful to see. And the best part is, this Featured Content Gallery is free to use.

There is two way to show this Featured Content Galley, we can use widget (if we want to put in widgetized area), or we can use script to call this plugins, it mean that we can put this Featured Content Galley anywhere.

To call this Featured Content Gallery plugins, put this script at your desired location :

Before the plugins could works, we must set it up first. Click the Featured Content Gallery option at your left sidebar inside wordpress admin. And you will looks something like this :

After you fill all of those area, we can do the next step. Something that should be remember that this plugin will show Sliding image if inside that specified category  at least have 2 post. To make the image show in the slider area, it needs a special Custom fields as the key. You must add “articleimg” as the key, and fill the value with your image URL. The standard procedure will be like this (add manually at every post) :

If you were using WP Robot, we can do all of this with automatics, because WP Robot were able to add new custom fields inside our campaign. The Supported thumbnail inside WP Robot is for :

1. Amazon Module  ==>  {amazonthumbnail}
2. Flickr Module ==> {thumbnail}
3. Youtube Module ==> {youtubethumbnail}

But, for youtube module, i will not recommended to use this. Because thumbnail that generated by wp robot is too small, so when we put them at the slider are, you will not get a great result. I will suggest to use Youtube Thumbnailer to help the project.

To make the WP Robot create this special custom field, please make a new campaign (or edit your previous campaign), and add this custom filed inside it. You can see this feature at the bottom of your campaign, see this screenshot for more detail

The example above, were used for Amazon Campaign. If you want to use youtube module , change the {amazonthumbnail} into {youtubethumbnail}, for Flickr module change it into {thumbnail}.
