Two weeks ago, i got warn from Hostgator, they says that my server have too much pending comments inside several of my site. When i check it, whoaa!!, most of them have more that 1000 pending comments. ! site have more than 11.000 pending comments.

All this pending comments were sent by some spammers (i believe that they were using robots or software) that want to get an easy backlinks with unwise ways. I believe that you could be like me! Become a spammer’s prey.

Deleting this all pending comments one by one? it will takes years!, and ofcourse i do not want to do this.

The plugins name is “Delete Pending Comments”, Created by nkuttler, and shared free inside wordpress.org site.

How to use this Delete pending Comments plugins?
Easy, but you must use it with high cautions. All deleted comments could not being undo. This is one way tickets, and ofcourse, use it by your own risk.
1. Download the Delete Pending Comments plugin here
2. Upload the file or, you can install new plugin directly (inside your admin), and search “delete pending comment”.
3. Activate the Delete Pending Comment plugin
4.At your left sidebar, insde Comments bar, you will see new link “Delete Pending Comments”. Click it

5. Copy the text “I am sure I want to delete all pending comments and realize this can’t be undone” into the selected area, and click the Delete Pending Comments Buton.
6. All done!
After you do this steps, all pending comments will be gone, event that pending comments were more than 10.000!

Are we safe now? (from the spammer’s attacks?)
NO!.
This plugin only works to delete all pending comments inside your web, and not work to prevent the new Spammer’s bot attack.
To Defend your site, the easiest way is installing captcha plugin. And for this plugins, i recommends WP Recaptcha
